NMW - About the New Music West Conference:

The conference has featured sessions with top industry pros and major artists including Gene Simmons, Marilyn Manson, Chad Kroeger, Perry Farrell, Matthew Good, Raine Maida, as well as Terry McBride (Nettwerk) and Jason Miller (House Of Blues).

The event is being co-produced by 29 Productions (Vancouver) and a new partner with deep roots in live music, Union Events. Several radio stations are sponsoring the event and will be looking at the showcasing bands to spot the future stars.

29 Productions' president Jory Groberman says, "New Music West will showcase approximately 30 of the most promising emerging live music artists, and will feature an industry development day for people seeking insight into a career in music."
