New Music West is excited to announce that artists from Australia, Netherlands, UK, Brazil, Iceland and all over the USA and Canada will perform at New Music West next week!
The official Australia VIP party and showcase will take place on FRIDAY May 16th at Bourbon (in Gastown) as follows:

Our Conference schedule is now on the website. Click on 'Conference' to your left to view. You can also download the Showcase schedule by clicking on 'Schedule' to the left under Festival.
Tickets are now available online by following the links under 'Tickets' to the left. Festival wristbands are only $30 and are valid for the entire duration of the festival. Conference passes are $50 and are good for conference events on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Workshops are ticketed separately and are listed under 'Workshops'. |

Thanks to everyone who applied. We are listening to all your great music, and enjoying what you've sent. All artists, whether accepted for a showcase or not, will be NOTIFIED BY THE END OF MARCH.
Please be aware that with so many subissions, we can't accept the majority of applicants. The reasons for NOT accepting artists usually fall into the following categories:
1. Artist needs to develop their craft further.
2. Artist needs to develop their presentation and career a bit further (yes, it's important for you to work on these aspects too!)
3. Style does not fit with our mandate to find 'new' music stars. Perhaps your music sounds dated, or too much like other popular artists. You need to stand out and develop your own style.

SOCAN, the Society of Composers Authors and Music Publishers of Canada, will present the Songwriting aspects of the Beat Boot Camp Conference at NMW. NMW is pleased to welcome a multitude of artists from Australia who are coming to Vancouver for Official NMW events, including Konquistador, The Re-Mains, Satellite Nation and more. Thanks to New Found Frequency and Austrade for helping connect us with the top bands from Down Under. Look for an Aussie VIP Party and showcases.
We are also very excited to announce the first ever New Music West Dutch Showcase, with the hottest bands in The Netherlands. We welcome Alamo Race Track, Hospital Bombers, Scram C Baby and Do-the-Undo. Look for a Royal Netherlands VIP Party and showcases.
